Crossing the Lexicon is a free word puzzle you can play online in any browser. Each board has laurel squares on it. Spell words across and down, crossword style, so that your words connect every laurel. Every run of letters has to be a real word, and all your tiles have to join up.
Use as few tiles as you can. Reach par for three stars, beat it for the crown, and if you get stuck, Hint lays down a route that always works.

Like Wordle, there is one daily board, the same for everyone, with a streak to keep going. Share your result without spoiling it: friends see the shape of your words first, then choose whether to look.
Alongside the daily there are 500 levels that start small and grow into bigger boards with stone squares to route around. Play in English, French, German, Spanish or Danish, each with its own words and levels.
